This no churn ice-cream couldn't be easier. Cool in the mouth, it will add another layer of interest when added to a warm dessert. Alternatively, it makes a great dessert or treat on its own.

For loss of taste: Sprinkle with toasted and chopped pecan nuts or walnuts to give some crunch and texture in the mouth. For a bit of fun, sprinkle with popping candy just before eating.

For dulled taste: You may need to add more spice mix than stated to make the flavour come through.

For Covid parosmia: Consider using cinnamon as the only spice.

Ingredients

397g can sweetened condensed milk
300ml thickened or double cream
2 tbsp Gewurzhaus Christmas Cake & Pudding Spice*

Directions

Place the condensed milk and cream into the bowl of a stand mixer or large bowl if using a hand mixer. Whisk until the mixture thickens. Fold the spices in with a rubber spatula. Taste to see if you need to add more spice.
Pour into a 1 litre loaf tin, cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 8 hours. Remove from the freezer and serve immediately as the ice cream is quite soft.

Recipe Note

*You can make your own Christmas spice mix - recipes can be found on the internet. They are generally a mixture of cinnamon, coriander, ginger, clove, and nutmeg. The exact qualities will vary according to individual taste.
